PREVIEW | WEST BRIDGFORD RESERVES VS KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE RESERVES
BACK TO LEAGUE ACTION FOR THE RESERVES
UP NEXT, After the floodlit midweek cup drama against Notts Olympic, the reserves go back into league action this weekend with a trip to the Regatta Way Sports Ground to face West Bridgford Reserves.
The reserves go into the match on the back of a penalties defeat in the week after a previous run of five wins and a draw from their last six league matches, losing just once since August. Having gotten promoted, the team currently sits second in the NSL Premier Division and will have high hopes of continuing this fantastic league form this weekend.
West Bridgford Reserves are yet to win this season, having gained a single point in the league with a 1-1 draw at home against Ruddington Village. With eleven losses from twelve matches in all competitions, Bridgford will be desperate to take the points at the weekend.
Kimberley Reserves’ visit to Radford to face Notts Olympic in the league cup on Wednesday night ended in a 1-1 draw and penalties. Dan Walker opened the scoring for Kimberley, only for Notts to equalise. Jacob Davies was shown the red card six minutes from time and the match went to penalties. The home side went into the next round, winning 7-6 from the spot.
West Bridgford played last weekend, welcoming Wollaton FC to Regatta Way. Jamie Newton and Finley Hudson scored for the hosts, but a Jarrod Westcarr hat trick and a Jacob Taylor goal subjected the hosts to an eleventh defeat of the season in all competitions.
FINALLY
Both sides will be desperate for the points. Kimberley aim to maintain the run at the top end of the table, while West Bridgford Reserves need to get some points on the board if they are to have any chance of moving away from the bottom as they already sit seven points behind the team above them.
Kick off is at 15:00
