PREVIEW | KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE RESERVES VS FC CAVALIERS
THE RESERVES ARE BACK AT UNDERWOOD TO ENTERTAIN THE CAVS
UP NEXT, the reserves are back at their temporary home at Underwood Villa for the first time since the end of August as they welcome FC Cavaliers in the Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Senior League.
With three wins from their last four matches, the reserves are in good form as they prepare to face the side currently sitting at the bottom of the division after seven matches.
FC Cavaliers come to Underwood on the back of seven straight defeats. With just two goals scored and thirty two conceded, the Cavaliers will be keen to improve on this as they face a team who have started the season very well.
Kimberley’s last match was an away trip last weekend to face Woodthorpe Park Rangers at Arnold Town’s Eagle Valley stadium. The visitors opened the scoring through Conor Croft on twenty minutes. Bijan Pakrouz levelled things up just ten minutes later to take the teams in at half time at 1-1. Seven minutes into the second half, August player of the month Rob Da La Silva Makamu scored what would be the winner for Kimberley to secure back to back victories for the first time this season.
Final Score - Woodthorpe Park Rangers 1-2 Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves
FC Cavaliers’ last match saw an encouraging scoreline as they welcomed Beeston Town to the Forest Sports Zone. Faris Sidahmed scored for Cavaliers, while David Briggs bagged an early goal for Beeston and Nicholas Knight scored the winner for Beeston late into added time.
Final Score - FC Cavaliers 1-2 Beeston Town
FINALLY
Both sides will head into this game in desperate search of a win. Kimberley go in search of a third win in a row that could see them move into the top four, while FC Cavaliers need to get some points on the board soon if they want to stay in the division.
