PREVIEW | WOODTHORPE PARK RANGERS VS KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE RESERVES
THE RESERVES FACE A FIFTH AWAY TRIP IN A ROW AS THE GO TO ARNOLD
UP NEXT, the reserves are on the road again as the league have helped out massively whilst the improvements are taking place at The Stag Ground. This time, they make the trip to Arnold Town’s Eagle Valley where they face Woodthorpe Park Rangers.
With six matches down and a fifty percent win ratio so far in step seven, the reserves sit in the top six at this early point of the season. Today, they face the side immediately below them having played one game less and sit a point behind.
Woodthorpe Park Rangers boast a similar record to Kimberley albeit having played a game less. Both sides have won three and lost twice so far, scoring twelve goals and Kimberley conceding just once more.
Kimberley’s last match was a trip to AFC Dunkirk to play under the lights in horrendous weather conditions on Wednesday night. Alfie Newbold opened the scoring for Kimberley to lead at half time. Owen Evans doubled the lead two minutes after the restart before Dunkirk grabbed a goal back midway through the second half. Full time - Dunkirk AFC 1 - Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves 2.
Woodthorpe's last match was two weeks ago as they hosted Ruddington Village at Eagle Valley. Kaylum Taylor and Dalton Stephens scored for Woodthorpe to take a 2-1 win as Ross Cochraine-Smith scored Ruddington’s only goal of the game.
FINALLY
Both sides will want to continue their great start to the season. With both sides seeing an average of four goals in their matches so far this season, we can expect a lot of action.
See you there
