Here are the upcoming fixtures for Valentines weekend
[b]Saturday the 14th of February/b]
On Saturday, the first team will welcome Skegness Town to Greenwich Avenue. Both sides are desperate for a win as they’ve been hard to come by. The miners have two wins from their last eight matches, whereas Skegness have one. A win could see either side move up the table.
The Reserves' away trip to Linby in the County Cup last weekend was postponed due to the weather. That fixture takes priority and has been moved to this weekend. The reserves have had their last three matches postponed due to pitch conditions. Linby will have had a two week gap since their last match if this fixture goes ahead. With the forecast not looking favourable, the sides may have to wait another week to get this match played.

Our EMPAL side has a home match in the quarter finals of the league cup against FC Longbow. The miners last played three weeks ago in a 3-3 draw with Beeston Albion. FC Longbow played on the first of the month in a 5-0 defeat to second placed Dovecrest. Hopes are that the pitch at Digby Street will be fit, but not expected.
Our Veterans have the big one this weekend. They welcome the veterans from our partner club Priory Celtic to Digby Street weather permitting. The miners currently sit top of the league having played more matches than anyone else. Priory Celtic sit third from bottom with two wins from five in the league so far this season. There is a possibility that the match could be played on the 4G at the leisure centre.
