PREVIEW | WOLLATON VS KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE RESERVES

Dave Morley19 Dec - 15:34

A TRIP TO WOLLATON FOR THE FINAL GAME OF 2025

UP NEXT, after no match last weekend, the reserves are on the road as they make a short trip to Wollaton in the final league match of an eventful 2025.

With a home league win followed by county cup penalties win, the miners seem to have recovered from a mid month blip on November and now look to push ahead in the new year and make up games in hand on the teams above them in the hunt for second spot behind runaway league leaders, Cotgrave.

Wollaton sit just one point and one place behind Kimberley after a mixed run of form over the last five matches, seeing them win twice and lose three times along the way.

Kimberley’s last match was in the County Cup against Calverton Miners Welfare. The match was goalless at half time before a twenty six minute flurry of activity saw each team score twice. Kimberley goalscorers were Louis Fazal and Brad Mee, while Ryan Bowen and Scott Eddyshaw scored for Calverton. Kimberley won 4-1 on penalties after a 2-2 final score.

Wollaton's last match saw them hosting Awsworth Villa last weekend. Jacob Taylor scored Wollaton’s only goal as Awsworth ran riot, scoring five through Josh Broad, Liam Towle, Darren Fotso, Liam Towle and an own goal.
Final Score - Wollaton 1-5 Awsworth Villa

FINALLY

Both teams will be keen to take the points and move into the top four. We expect a great game

See you there
