Dave Morley28 Apr - 13:38

An earlier kick off at the stag ground as the reserves aim to secure a top half finish

UP NEXT, The Reserves are back at The Stag for the penultimate game of the season against Wollaton FC.

Tonight the reserves are back at home ready to face Wollaton FC. They will be desperate to clutch a win and end the season on a high and further the gap between Wollaton as they creep closer to ensure a top half finish to their first season at step seven.

Wollaton's last game was Saturday away against Dunkirk where they had an incredible 5-1 win. They will be eager to keep the momentum going against the reserves. With Wollaton’s goal scorers being Reece Campbell with two goals and Nicholas Federici with two goals also, and their final goal from Joe Phillip. Dunkirk’s solo goal scorer was Osaro Divine Osawe.
Final score: Dunkirk 1-5 Wollaton FC

On Saturday the reserves hit the road with an away trip to Bingham on a blazing hot day. The reserves hit their first obstacle before kick off as they only had one substitute. Tensions were building as we saw a first half goal from Bingham. The reserves had to bring their A game in the second half. They battled their way throughout the half, however a second goal from Bingham scuppered their chances of a win. A great effort from the reserves considering the circumstances, an unfortunate result nonetheless.
Final score: KMW 0-2 Bingham

LAST TIME AROUND
The reserves last faced Wollaton away in December of 2025 in an intense game which saw the reserves victorious in a 3-1 win. With the half time score seeing Wollaton take a 1-0 lead at half time, the reserves had everything to play for and turn the game around. The second half saw the reserves score a goal from Noah Edmunds and a further two from Brad Mee.
Final score KMW 3-1 Wollaton FC

A LITTLE ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Wollaton FC were formed in 1954 and play at Wollaton Sports Association Ground sharing the ground with Wollaton Cricket Club. The club is sited on land that was sold to the village for sports and recreational activities by the Middleton family just after the 2nd World War. The Club Badge depicts the Elizabethan architecture of Wollaton Hall. Originally in the Midland Amateur Alliance, Wollaton joined the Notts Alliance in 1990. The club enjoyed a long and successful spell in the MAA and the 3rd and 4th teams still play in that League. Season 2004/5 saw Wollaton become one of the founder members of the Notts Senior League.
